Sustainability
Sustainability is key to our overall strategy, whether it be constructing buildings robust enough to last for twenty years, or protecting the environment by helping to educate children in the importance of conservation of trees, managing the plastics they use and water usage. Since 2015, we have drilled new boreholes in 29 of our schools, which will mean that they will always have plentiful water for drinking, cooking, washing and good health. Equally, as a charity, to enable the HvSMF to continue in its mission to fight poverty through education, we need sustained funding, which comes from building trust and good relationships with not only our donors, but also the communities in which we work. Our actions today can make a difference to Uganda and leave a legacy to future generations.
