Our Work

We are a small non-governmental, UK registered, charity committed to ensuring that over 85% of our income is specifically spent at our schools to make a lasting difference in Uganda. Unlike many larger charities, we do not have an office rent to pay or large staff overheads. Instead we are run by a dedicated team of volunteers in England and a small staff in Uganda.

We work closely with community leaders, school management, staff, parents and students in order to ensure that we understand fully the challenges facing the schools we work with and that our projects meet the needs of these schools. We do not simply do one project at a school and then leave. Rather we work in partnership with the schools over a number of years in order to create centres of academic excellence at each school.

All the schools, where we have completed projects between 2004 and 2024, continued to receive bi-annual visits (except during the two Covid years), monitoring and advice.. They are all members of our “Club” of 51 nursery, primary and secondary schools. Not one of them has been rejected. We also continue to liaise with local government education departments to seek their support and advice.
